Healing Trauma
Intensive Overview :
As women, we often learn from an early age to neglect our own wants, needs, and hopes. We’ve been taught to minimize our experiences, downplay what we feel – our joy, our pain, even the wounds of trauma. While we might have an intellectual understanding that our feelings and stories matter, it can be difficult to prioritize and honor our healing journeys.
This Intensive is designed to provide a safe, intentional space to address the impact of trauma within our bodies, minds, hearts, and souls. It also supports the re-connection to self, community, and our Higher Power.
Intensive Topics :
Participants will be guided through three days of an integrated psychoeducational, somatic, and experiential process aimed to enhance empowerment and authenticity. All healing will take place within a caring and supportive community guided by seasoned co-faciliators.
Trauma impacts us physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually. This Intensive will benefit women who want to better understand themselves while building internal and external resources.
The co-facilitators are committed to creating a supportive and nurturing space that accelerates each participants’ healing journey and offers opportunities to explore:
Identifying personal strengths and increase felt sense of safety
Enhancing internal and external resources to regulate the nervous system
Stepping into our voice and owning the truth about ourselves
Improving connection and attunement to our body
Increasing understanding of how our specific trauma history activates our mind and body
Defining and rehearsing our future self work
Intensive Therapeutic Approaches :
Psychodrama :
Discover how going beyond traditional "talk" therapy leads to deeper connection with part of self and encourages spontaneity and creativity with the recovery process. Gain new perspectives, release emotional blockages, and develop healthier coping strategies.
Somatic therapy :
Investigate how trauma manifests in the body, using body-based practices to understand the role of secure attachment and how addiction forms in the absence of secure emotional connections.
Psychoeducation :
Expand knowledge about compulsions and addictions, including understanding how compartmentalization affects psychological well-being.
Group Process and Connection :
Engage in a group-oriented experience that provides emotional connection, real-time feedback, and ample opportunities for fostering insight into your authentic self.
The journey of betrayal trauma can often feel lonely. This Intensive will allow each participant to connect deeply with the other participants which can further enhance our inner regulation and sense of support. This intensive will allow participants to fully immerse themselves in the process to experience increased levels of growth and transformation. Participants will receive the equivalent of months of individual therapy within a 3 day period.
